Themba

"A little pot of comfort", formulated from the fruit of the Kigelia tree.


THEMBA™ is a herbal balm for dry skin conditions such as eczema,psoriasis and dermatitis. Also excellent for acne (spots), cold sores, verrucas, viral warts, and athletes foot, and for cuts, stings and burns.

Kigelia Africana is a tree found in low-lying altitudes in Southern Africa. It grows well in riverine areas and produces an amazing pod in the shape of a sausage, sometimes as heavy as 10kg (about the same as a one-year old child!).

The Kigelia fruit has been traditionally used for stubborn dry-skin conditions, but we are constantly surprised by customer reports of the many other ailments it can be used for, and keep having to update the "THEMBA™ List of Achievements"!

THEMBA™ balm gently nourishes the skin and promotes healing at the same time as tackling skin problems associated with viruses, bacteria and fungus. Not only that, but it seems to be suitable for the most sensitive of skins and for the tiniest newborn babies (though a patch test is essential, as with everything that goes onto the skin).

In addition to the Kigelia extract we have added to THEMBA™ other ingredients beneficial to the skin including:
- Aloe Excelsia
- Calendula
- Wheatgerm Oil
- Lavender
- Vitamin E

Contains NO steroids, NO antibiotics and NO parabens.
Note that colour and consistency may vary slightly as this product is mixed by hand.

We have called our herbal skin cream 'THEMBA™', an African word for 'hope'. We know that hope is something that many sufferers of dry skin condtions lost a long time ago.

How to use THEMBA™ herbal skin balm :

Eczema & Psoriasis:
· Apply twice a day, sparingly, to affected areas.
· Be sure to rub the cream in until it is entirely absorbed by the skin.
· Persevere, as response times vary considerably.
· If the psoriasis does not show any sign of response, consider using SIMBA™at the same time. The combination has been shown to be very effective on stubborn psoriasis.
· THEMBA™ can be used on childhood (atopic) eczema, even on tiny babies.

Acne (both Acne vulgaris and the odd pimple):
· Apply regularly with clean fingers
· THEMBA™ will help to lessen any acne scarring

Cold sores:
· Use when the tingling that precedes the cold sore is first felt.
· If the cold sore develops, apply small amounts every hour throughout the day until the sore heals.
· THEMBA™ will help to lessen any scarring that may result.

Verrucas, Viral warts, Cuts, Stings and Burns:
· Apply regularly (at the very least twice a day) and try, if possible, to apply every hour or so until the skin has healed.


We would always recommend a patch test, as with everything that goes onto the skin.
